AMPEM DARKOA LADIES TO DEFEND LEAGUE TITLE

This year’s national women league will be one of the best ever witnessed in the country.

Just after two matches played, the support base is increasing and attention is being drawn due to the attractiveness of women football in the country.

Two consecutive times winners of the northern zone, Ampem Darkoa Ladies who are third on the league log with 4 points have hinted that they are aiming to win the league for the third time.

Speaking to the Head Coach of Ampem Darkoa ladies, Coach Nana Adarkwa, after their 0-0 draw with Fabulous Ladies, he indicated that, matches played against Fabolous Ladies always end in a draw but he was hoping to change the score line soon.

He added that Priscilla Adobea’s who is the captain of the side is injured and the injury will be a big blow to the team.

Though with little funding from friends and other supporters of women football, Ampem Darkoa has the hallmark of producing quality players. Most of these ladies are picked from school level and groomed to become national assets.

Justice Tweneboah and Priscilla Adobea are all products of Ampem Darkoa Ladies.
